Cultural opportunities and field trips

The Stone Soup Institute is located 1 hour north of Portland which offers art museums, theater, opera, concerts, and sports events. Field trips to Acadia National Park, state parks, historical sites and working farms are within a reasonable drive. Thirty minutes to Freeport, home of the world famous L.L.Bean and other retail outlets, makes shopping very accessible.
